On October 25th, 2008. The Lancaster Research & Recovery Club will be hosting its seventh annual public open hunt. The Lancaster Research & Recovery Club does not make a profit off the entry fees for the hunt.
All the entry fees are put back into the hunt for silver and prizes. A listing of the schedule of events follows and each event starts promptly. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase on Saturday only. Dealers are welcome to set up (Contact the Hunt Master in advance) Tables are not provided.
There are several styles of hunts for adults, and kids up to and including 12 years old may hunt in the Kids Hunt. Childern are divided into TWO groups; Detector
Users and Non-Detector Users. Kids!, There will be treats & plenty of treasure.
Added Attraction!

We will be hosting the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America this year. There will be gold panning demos and information thru out the weekend. And there may be a gold nugget raffle.

Kids Hunt: [thru Sept. 1st = $10]-[Sept. 2nd thru Oct. 1st = $20]-[Oct. 2nd thru Oct. 20th = $30]
DO NOT SEND YOUR ENTRY AFTER OCTOBER 15TH.
Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee.

1ST MAIN HUNT 9:30 to 10:15am
KIDS HUNT 10:30 to 11:00am
FUN HUNT 11:15 to 11:45am
LUNCH 12:00 to 12:30pm
OPTIONAL GOLD HUNT 1:00 to 1:15pm
2ND MAIN HUNT 1:30 to 2:15pm

The hunt site is located in beautiful Lancaster County Central Park, Pennsylvania.
If you are on U.S. ROUTE 30 FROM THE EAST (WESTBOUND) approaching Lancaster; Exit Route 30 (Be in the left lane as Route 30 bears off to the right at this junction) and take Route 462 West (Columbia Avenue), travel about 3 miles to make a left turn onto Lampeter Road South, go to the first traffic light and turn right onto Millport Road, the road snakes around about a mile, take the next left onto Eshelman Mill Road (it's a sharp left), stay to the right at the upcoming "Y" and take the next right into the Lancaster County Environmental Center and Hunt Site. If you are on U.S. ROUTE 30 FROM THE WEST (EASTBOUND) skirting north of Lancaster; Exit off Route 30 and take Route 462 West (Columbia Avenue), at the bottom of the ramp turn Right onto 462 West, travel almost 3 miles to make a left turn onto Lampeter Road South, go to the first traffic light and turn right onto Millport Road, the road snakes around about a mile, take the next left onto Eshelman Mill Road (it's a sharp left), stay to the right at the upcoming "Y" and take the next right into the Lancaster County Environmental Center and Hunt Site. Traveling on 222 (Willow Street Pike), make a right/left onto Golf Road. Stay on Golf Road as it winds to a tee. At that stop sign make a right onto Eshelman Mill Road, straight at "Y" and take the first Right into Lancaster County Environmental Center and Hunt Site. [blue path on map]
